Rufus! Tech House, House music DJ…
Promoter of Sunday West, Techno Value & Sirup Nation (Croatia)
2011 has started with a bang for Rufus!, whose infectious style of “jump up” tech house is being rewarded with some serious bookings. In a music scene that can be often seen to be taking itself a tad too serious, Rufus! rewards dancefloors with straight down the line bangers – no experiments or “deep” diversions…….it’s quite obvious that Rufus! honed his musical taste and dj style in the hyper active world of Jungle and Drum and Bass.
2011 has seen Rufus play alongside the likes of Carl Craig, Francois K, Psycatron, Radio Slave, Raresh, Rhadoo, Pedro, Marcus Fix, Illario Allicante, Raymundo Rodriguez, Robert Owens, Terry Farley, Dave Jarvis, Jimpster, Chris Dukenfield, Jus Ed, Tevo Howard, Victor Simonelli, Hot Chip, Ewan Pearson plus many of London’s budding house & techno talents…..
You can find Rufus! at his party Sunday West on the last Sunday of every month and around the UK’s underground house music scene……..
Yotto likes walks in the park, nights by the fire, and deadpan stares across dinner tables. He also likes to produce electronic music. He’s had 5 ‘Essential New Tune’ nods from Pete Tong, and 2 ‘Hottest Record In the World’ selections on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. DJ support has proved devastatingly eclectic, ranging from Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Kölsch, Patrice Baumel and Adriatique. His multifarious remix list includes Gorillaz, Röyksopp and Coldplay. He also boasts a vibrant vocabulary.
On the live side, Yotto is a dazzling and dynamic presence behind the decks, equally at home sharing the bill with legends like Sven Väth, Eric Prydz and Dixon to as he is going b2b with the world’s far-flung local selectors at the afterparty. Yotto started out the year with a highly-anticipated release on Joris Voorn’s Green Records, while the fall of 2017 will see remixes of Gorillaz and Christian Löffler, along with a 5-track EP on Anjunadeep.
